Digital Doppelgänger

Category title

Digital Doppelgänger opens with Rylan Voss, a senior D-SIGMA compliance investigator, arrested for a crime he didn’t commit — a crime carried out by a digital version of himself.

After his release, Voss is suspended and shut out of every system he once monitored. Forced to work from the margins, he starts uncovering a hidden project that builds behavioural copies so exact they begin to act with their own intent. The version that framed him is only the first sign that the programme has slipped its leash.

With official access removed, Voss turns to whatever he can still reach: old contacts, and fragments of restricted logs passed to him in secret. His search pulls him into corporate research zones, and a user network that bends these replicas toward personal and political gain.

Each step brings him closer to a system capable of erasing the truth and replacing it with whatever story it needs.
